Unable to upload attachments

Hello,

i can't upload attachments in this forum for some reason. When i click 'Manage attachments' i get a blank page when clicking 'Upload'. I tried with Firefox as well as with Internet Explorer. I was able to upload files using WindowsXP in the past, and i have recently upgraded to Win7 - so maybe that has something to do with it.

Does it work when you save them as a different format, such as .GIF? I have seen this happen from time to time as well. You might also try turning on or turning off IE8 compatibility mode. It could be a bug or incompatibility in vBulletin.

Hm, .gif files appear to work. Still no luck with PNG-format.

I suspect there may be a problem with vBulletin with certain types of attachments, possibly only with the newer browsers.

I ran into the same issue the other day.

Problem is limited to PNG attachment.

For now workaround is attach GIF files.

I've tried to do a quick check on this, but vBulletin 3.5.2 is circa 2005 - possibly it doesn't have the needed support to work 100% for the latest browsers such as IE8 or FireFox. TickQuest might want to make a note when time permits to checking about updating to the latest vBulletin if that is not a difficult upgrade.
