Open E Cry and Options Express Combined Data Feed

Open E Cry will be adding equity trading to their OEC Trader platform in the near future.

One of the advantages for those who trade futures through OEC but use NYSE-based technical indicators (like me) is that the NYSE statistics will now become available with OEC, making it possible to build NYSE-based indicators from the free OEC data stream.

I am thinking I may be able to move away from ESignal when OEC goes live with their combined futures-equity data feed.

Are there technical issues that need to be addressed for NT to use the additional equity data coming online from OEC?

Will there need to be any additional programming required for the OEC Order Server to deliver the new data types delivered on the combined OEC-Options Express data feed?

Thanks.

We have not receive any news from OEC about the new feed yet, once we do the programmers will follow up on it.

Last days (from the 14th of January) I am not able to download historical tick data for 6ED_F and 6AD_F. I did not change anything in my settings that time and until that everything was OK. Minute and Daily data work fine. Isn't there any backfill server drop-out?

6ED_F tick data looks fine here.

Check that your Internet EOD timeout is long enough, especially if you're on a higher latency internet connection.

It seems OEC is now in a rush to make its platform open to stocks, stock options, etc.

We will have to investigate what can be done to accommodate their changes.

p.s. Personally I know people using Option Xpress for years. This merger is very natural and I do think it will be beneficial to both OEC and OptionXpress.
