absolute value in quote window formula

When I try to use the "abs()" function in a formula column in a quote window, it simply returns the Last value.

For example in a Formula column, if you enter "-1", it will populate the column with "-1"

When you enter abs(-1) or abs( anything ) it just has the Last value in the column.

Is it not possible to use abs() as part of a column formula? What am I missing here?

thanks in advance

Abs is an indicator. AbsValue is a function. It seems likely that what you are trying to do is AbsValue(-1).
