Would it be possible to get the framework / API so that I could integrate another optimiser?

This can be broken down into two cases: integrating with NT vs integration with NT Grid Optimizer. If what you want is to change parameters on a chart's indicator(s) and recalculate your fitness function, that can be done with OLE Automation. If what you want is to integrate with NTGO so as to leverage its specific features beyond the regular NT feature set, this requires access to an NTGO SDK, something not yet released/available.
